Stunning debut EP from the Leeds band Laboratory Noise. Psychedelic shoegaze at is very best.
Laboratory Noise formed in the winter of 2005. Taking influences from psychedelia, shoegaze, electronica and post-rock, they create multi-layered effect driven soundscapes, underpinned by strong melodies.
âYou Created A Stormâ¦an appropriate title for a track awash with shoe-gaze effect pedal mayhem and wailing electronics, but which retains an impressive toe-hold on song structure and discernible melody, allowing the six members to shine through.â - Sandman Magazine
'Nurtured and carefully groomed into a collection of mellow c86 sounds, âThe Value Of Experimentsâ sounds like Roxy Music (Flesh + Blood / Avalon) reworked by Kevin Shields. The music stretches almost endlessly beyond the horizon of its vast landscapes. Itâs a sound constructed from echoed jangles and the shuffling beat of the snare, where verses hang in the air before crashing and cascading in waterfalls of sonic effects. Lush.'

âThey meld the ethereal grace of My Bloody Valentine or later day Talk Talk with touches of epic post-rock and some serious shoe gazing for a dream-like record. Each song segues onto the next creating a wondrous daze for the listenerâ¦â - High Voltage
