Delicasession return with their second EP, released on the British duo's own label, Delica Records.
This five tracker sees a definite departure from the sound displayed on the 'Coastal EP', with the title track crackling with energy as the heavy breakbeat, deep bass stabs and rolling pianos combine to create a tune that will reach every corner of the dancefloor.
Things settle down with 'Hard Life', a gentle dubbed-out slice of cinematic electronica that will keep their more chilled out fans happy. This track has also been remixed by rising electronic star Dlay, who delivers a weird and wonderful lo-fi re-working.
Finally, 'Rewound' carries on where 'FiLM 140' (the last track on the 'Coastal EP') left off - a beat less improvised instrumental that mixes hypnotic Rhodes keys with a synthesiser stolen from the Vangelis sound laboratory.
Together, the 'Tape Check EP' signals a new level of accomplishment for this band. Whether through your headphones or a sound system, Delicasession will fill your ears...
